After writing all the articles on French Together myself for the last 5 years, I have decided to look for a content writer so I can focus on marketing and course creation.
The articles will be written in your name and you’ll have your own author bio under each article you write.
If you think learning grammar rules and list of words by heart is incredibly boring and have a passion for all things French (especially tartiflette), this job may be for you.
French Together helps English speakers learn the 20% of French they need to know to understand 80% of conversations and speak with confidence.
And the content of the blog should reflect that.
I’m looking for someone who can write about one or all of the following topics:
– Everyday French vocabulary (the kind of vocabulary the French actually use, not the textbook kind)
– Grammar rules with a heavy focus on common patterns and “grammar hacks”.
– French culture (what it’s like to live in France, French food…)
You should be:
– Fluent in French and English
– Passionate about learning languages and French culture
– A talented storyteller and writer
– Happy to let your personality shine through and express your opinion.
Each article should be not only unique but also the best article available on the topic. The goal is to write article that will truly help people and help them get closer to their goal of speaking French in confidence.
If it’s a grammar article, it needs to focus on common patterns and reveal the best way to understand a grammar concept. It could also include a simple “grammar hack” that makes understanding the concept easier.
If it’s an article about conjugation, it needs to show the most common ways to conjugate a verb (no need to include tenses like le passé simple that nobody uses).
If it’s a vocabulary article, it needs to focus on the most common vocabulary and on useful sentences people would need during a trip to France.
If it’s a culture article, it needs to show your personality as a writer. We are looking for someone who can share unique tips and not just give a list of 10 tourist attractions. If you write about French culture, you shouldn’t be afraid to share what shocked you, what pleasantly surprised you or even what disappointed you.
If you like this philosophy and believe you would be a good match for this job. Please contact me using this form.
How to apply
– Send me a quick intro to tell me about yourself
– Give me examples of articles you wrote
– Tell me why you believe you would be a good match
I’m looking for a freelance writer who could write between 1 and 4 articles per month. There is no minimum or max word count: the goal is to write the best article possible in as many words as needed.
The price will depend on the type of article. It could be 50 USD for a simple article or 200 for a more complex one that requires lots of research.
You won’t need to come up with article ideas (although suggestions are welcome) and I will give you a list of topics to choose from so you can write something you are actually interested in.
